About artist Jorge Lovato
Miniature carvings
In 1996, Jorge Lovato began working in oils as well
as wood, painting landscapes first in New York,
then in Mississippi after moving to the Gulf Coast
community of Bay Saint Louis.  His paintings of
houses, marinas, and coastal landscapes in Bay
St. Louis, Waveland, Biloxi, and other towns
destroyed by Hurricane Katrina provide a historical
record of a way of life now lost.
